DESCRIPTION:Hardy & Nance Studios is pleased to announce our Streets of HTX art show that coincides with our Third Saturday Open Studios on August 18\, 2018 from 5-9pm. \n“Street art is a form of artwork that is displayed in a community on its surrounding buildings\, streets\, and other publicly viewed surfaces. Many instances come in the form of guerrilla art\, which is composed to make a public statement about the society that the artist lives within. The work has moved from the beginnings of graffiti and vandalism to new modes where artists work to bring messages\, or just simple beauty\, to an audience.” – Antonova\, Maria. 2014. “Street Art.” Russian Life 57(5):17 \nSpecial Guest Artists:\nShelbi Nicole\nGabriel Prusmack\nAnat Ronen\nTra Slaughter\nScott Tarbox Tarbox\nand many more\, will be displaying their art in the gallery. Hardy & Nance residents will also have their studios open for you to visit and check out the many types of art housed in the building. \nComplimentary refreshments provided by Saint Arnold Brewing Company. \nOur favorite food truck\, Rich Boy Po’Boy\, will also be on site serving up the best Po’Boys in town during the Streets of HTX art show. Make sure to come hungry – you won’t be disappointed. \n
