DESCRIPTION:MEMORY MAP\nA 2024 FotoFest Exhibition\n\nHardy & Nance Studios is pleased to announce our Call for Entries for the “Memory Map” that will be on display Saturday\, March 16\, 2024\, from 5-9pm & Sunday\, March 17th from Noon-3pm. This call for entries is open to all artists in Houston and surrounding areas.\n\nTHEME: “From Wikipedia: In computer science\, a memory map is a structure of data (which usually resides in memory itself) that indicates how memory is laid out.”\nThe exhibition seeks to use photography as a visual exploration of memory – as single images or groupings that trigger connections to our experiences.\n\nMEDIUM: Digital and Analog Photography. No AI generated images. Can be printed on the substrate of your choice.\n\nSIZE RESTRICTIONS: 2D artwork total dimensions including frames\, no larger than 36″ any side.\n\nSUBMISSION DEADLINE:\nArtists can submit images and information for up to four (4) pieces no later than Sunday\, February 25\, 2024 at 11:59pm. This is a curated show\, so some pieces may not be chosen. Notification of acceptance into the show will be given no later than Sunday\, March 3\, 2024.\n\nARTWORK ENTRY FEE:\nThe entry fee for this show is $15 cash per accepted piece\, due at drop off. If entry fee is not brought during drop off\, we cannot accept art. There is no fee to submit images for consideration.\nThere is NO commission fee involved and therefore artists are required to handle all sales transactions.
