SUMMARY:A Year On Paper - Jill Hakala
DESCRIPTION:  \n \n“A Year on Paper” is the solo exhibition of Jill Hakala’s year long project. \nEach day during 2019\, she created one small painting or drawing. The guidelines that she set for herself were that 1) each piece will be 5″x7″\, and 2) the series will be done in an “exquisite corpse” style\, where she will use the previous day as inspiration for the current day. She did not look at previous work for this project during the year\, so that she would be impacted on what was happening then and not work she had already created. The series will be displayed in one long line\, spanning about 152′ in length. \nPlease join us for this exhibition at Hardy and Nance Studios in the main gallery on January 25th\, 2020 5pm-9pm. Free parking and complimentary food and drink. \n
